RRENEW and the Henry St. Volunteer House are often looking for new interns and volunteers. We are looking for long term (6 months to 2 years) interns, as well as shorter term (1 – 6 month) interns to work on the ongoing campaigns and planned campaigns of the collective. You can check out the current and planned campaign work here.
How does interning work?
We coordinate Intern applications directly through contact at rrenew.collective@gmail.com and by application here, or through the volunteer placement process with Mountain Justice.
Intern positions are, for now, unpaid. We provide free room and board for interns, however, and we work with students and universities to get class credit for internships.
While interning, volunteers are expected to work at least 20 hours a week on projects that advance the collective mission. Interns are also expected to help maintain a clean and welcoming environment within the Volunteer House.
If you are interested in an internship, or have any questions, please contact us at rrenew.collective@gmail.com. You can also fill out an application here.
Renting at the Henry St. Volunteer House
We also offer space for individuals who want to live in an affordable cohousing situation, but who cannot donate most of their time to volunteering. For 1/8 of monthly income, plus 20 hours a month of work that advances the mission of the collective, plus 10 hours a month of community service with groups not directly related to the mission of the collective an individual may live at the Henry St. House. These spots are limited, but please contact us if you are interested in renting at the Henry St. House.
